OfficeSpace has announced the release of its Workplace Intelligence solution, designed to help facility and corporate real estate teams track and benchmark office utilization data in real-time. This technology aims to optimize real estate portfolios, reduce operational expenses, and improve hybrid work culture.
Workplace Intelligence automates the collection, management, and visualization of data from WiFi, badge, and desk booking sources. The data is presented in cloud dashboards powered by Looker, enabling facility managers, heads of corporate real estate, and workplace strategists to make data-driven decisions regarding real estate and employee experience strategies.
The solution is reported to save users 3–10 hours per week by automating data collection and analysis, reducing inaccuracies, and freeing up time for strategic decision-making. This delivers a positive ROI across business functions, including real estate and HR.
According to Andres Avalos, Chief Product Officer at OfficeSpace, Workplace Intelligence helps clients determine where to expand or contract their real estate footprint, refine return-to-office (RTO) strategies, plan for attendance spikes, reduce operational expenses, and boost employee engagement. Erin Mulligan Helgren, CEO of OfficeSpace, describes the technology as a strategic asset for executive teams navigating changes in employee experience and workplace management, providing objective data to drive decisions that impact the bottom line and company culture.
Workplace Intelligence features advanced dashboards that benchmark employee presence by site, department, employee type, and time. It collates presence data from multiple sources, helping teams understand which locations are most utilized, workforce distribution (in-office, remote, hybrid), peak attendance days and times, and which employees are on-site on a given day. The solution also assists with scheduling employee events and services, forecasting new site selections, and generating recurring reports to inform stakeholders about utilization patterns.
Andres Avalos emphasizes that transparency and communication are key in today's dynamic work environment, and that Workplace Intelligence supports data-driven conversations about RTO strategies, helping to create employee experiences that attract and retain top talent.
The release of Workplace Intelligence marks a new phase of innovation for OfficeSpace, which was founded in 2008. The company has recently expanded its executive team with leaders experienced in AI, data, and user experience, including CEO Erin Mulligan Helgren, Chief Product Officer Andres Avalos, Chief Financial Officer Mark Masters, Heather Larrabee, Chief Sales Officer Yoni Rouache, and VP of Product Sahara Muradi.
